The ladies were back in action locally after an unsuccessful bid to win the Little League State Championship last week in Coatesville, PA.
They started off Friday night with a strong defensive effort, but ultimately came up short to Ingomar 2-1. They bounced back Saturday afternoon by scoring 4 in the final inning to walk off the host team Hampton 6-5. They finished pool play on a sour note by falling to Bauerstown 10-0.
The girls came out strong on Sunday with 7 runs over the first 2 innings & held on to avenge the earlier loss to Bauerstown 9-5 & make their way to the championship game. A tough first inning doomed them in the finale, but the girls fought hard until the very end scoring 3 runs in the 7th to give Ingomar a scare before falling 7-5.
Congratulations on a great run to Addy Applbaum, Mara Beatty, Maddy Clarke, Olivia Gieraltowski, Jordyn Kirby, Trinity Milford, Cydney Mubel, Graci Ricci, Lauren Wechuck, & Megan Wilson.
