The Board is also looking for someone interested in filling a new position – Events Coordinator. Each year, the league holds events for the kids and for fundraising purposes and we are in need of someone to coordinate and lead these events. Examples include: Picture Day, Golf outing, End of year SALL-abration at Kiwanis, T-mobile Home Run Derby, Pre-season Coach’s meeting, Home baseball and softball tournaments. I’m sure there are other events that I am forgetting. Right now, the events are being planned and run by the current Board. And although we feel like these events have been successful in the past, much of the Board is also involved in coaching teams in addition to their other Board duties. It would be nice to have someone lead these events so that we can ensure that we are doing all that we can to make sure that our kids and families stay involved with fun activities to enhance their experience with SALL. We can always do things better and are always looking for new perspectives on how to run our activities.
If you have any interest in getting involved more with the league at one of these positions, please reach out to us. Each year we have turnover and we would be more than happy to mentor anyone so that they may get involved with the league.
